There's a new charity in northern Colorado - the Macdonald Family Charity
There's a new charity in northern Colorado - the Macdonald Family Charity - that has been founded to grant dreams to children and youth between the ages of 2 and 18 years old who are terminally or chronically ill, injured in an accident, living in a foster care environment or from a family with a low income. The children and youth must be U.S. citizens and reside in Larimer or Weld counties of northern Colorado.
It may sound a little like Make-A-Wish, but is different in that it's local and serves a broader population of kids.
The charity is accepting nominations for the first of four dreams to be granted in 2008. Nomination instructions and forms can be downloaded from the charity’s website (www.macdonaldfamilycharity.org) or obtained by calling (970) 667-6119. The deadline by which to nominate a child and submit the appropriate forms is Tuesday, January 31, 2008.
For information about nominating a child or donating to the charity, visit www.macdonaldfamilycharity.org or call (970) 667-6119.
There'll be more NEWS heading your way very by the end of the week!
