Charity Accepts Applications to Make Kids' Dreams Come True

Loveland, CO – Dreams do come true. That is the message the Macdonald Family Charity wants to get across to kids with special circumstances. Between March 1 and April 15 the charity will be accepting applications on behalf of eligible children–youth between the ages of 2 and 18 who are terminally ill, chronically ill, injured, in a foster care environment or of a family with a low income, and live in Larimer or Weld Counties .

“We recognize there are many children, due to physical limitations or financial struggles, who are never exposed to opportunities to help them see the hope and possibility that exists in the world and our community” says AJ Macdonald, founder of Macdonald Family Charity. “If we can provide an opportunity for a child to have one of their dreams come true–a child who may not ever have that chance due to circumstances beyond their control–then we’ve accomplished what we set out to do.”

Macdonald Family Charity, established in January 2007, already has granted dreams to 5 children. The most recent dream recipients were two sisters, Andreina Alba, 9, and her younger sister, Bianca, 6, who received a bedroom makeover with the help of numerous volunteers and business sponsors, Spaces Interiors by Design, Manweiler Hardware, Western Floors, Bosch Interior Wall Design, Lowe’s, Macy’s and Boulder Valley Paint.
